 | Description: | All Night Long -The Crown Records Story 1957-1962 is a compilation of rhythm & blues tracks released as 2-CD on 1 May 2014. - .. CROWN RECORDS STORY 1957-1962 - ALL NIGHT LONG2014 two CD collection. Crown Records was founded in 1953 as a subsidiary of Modern Records and it soon acquired a reputation as a 'cheap' label, especially since the cardboard covers they used had no spine and were only held together by printed paper slicks. Nevertheless, they continued issuing records until 1972. We have concentrated on the early days in this compilation when the music, if not the packaging, was straight out of the top drawer. With the likes of John Lee Hooker, Etta James and B.B. King you'll soon see how Crown Records lived up to it's regal name. | | No. of tracks: |
