Descripción:	Die gegensätzlichen Pevensie-Kinder, zwei Jungen und zwei Mädchen, kommen während der deutschen Luftangriffe auf London im Landhaus des schrägen Professor Kirke unter. Beim Versteckspielen schlüpft die kleine Lucy in einen Kleiderschrank, der sich als Tor zum Zauberreich Narnia entpuppt. Dort herrscht ewiger Winter, das Land wird mit eiserner Hand von der Weißen Hexe regiert. Nun ist es an dem Kids-Quartett, den rechtmäßigen König, den magischen Löwen Aslan, zu finden und mit ihm die unterdrückte Parallelwelt zu befreien.Wie eine pastorale Idylle sieht das Narnia aus, das Andrew Adamson, Regisseur von Shrek, geschaffen hat, der hier mit jugendlicher Energie sowie einer ordentlichen Portion Naivität die Mär vom ewigen Kampf zwischen Gut und Böse nach neuestem Stand der Technik bebildert. Das Effekte-Feuerwerk geht dabei etwas zu Lasten der Story, die auf einem Band von C.S. Lewis berühmter Kinderbuchreihe fußt, dessen christliche Symbolik auch hier nicht zu übersehen ist. Doch der Kinoerfolg straft alle Skeptiker Lügen.
