Description: | Phaesis is the name of a French Progressive rock band, coming from the Eighties underground scene. The first album "Réminiscence" (1987) is a half instumental work, half-sung. The musicians's predominant influence is really PINK FLOYD, both for the gilmouresque vocals and the lyric guitar parts. Melody is the queen here, and atmospheres are her most faithful vassals. Published four years later, "Labyrinthe" includes some passages a certain Mike OLDFIELD would have been proud of. "Hero" (1997) is the third discographic landmark of the band coming from the Meuse department, a real achievement. Against all expectations, Phaesis is back in the year 2005 ! the band welcomes a new drummer and a new keyboardist, while walking it's own personal way: playing an half-instrumental half-sung (French lyrics) music ala PINK FLOYD. Mixed with the help of Jean-Pascal BOFFO, "Puzzle" reveals a more personal style, even if some atmospheres and guitar parts still recall David GILMOUR's famous band. Mixin. |
