Khwakork ist ein Mekka des illegalen Handels, sechs Monate im Jahr eingeschneit und nur mit dem Pferd erreichbar. In dem abgeschiedenen Bergdorf wurde vor kurzem auch eine Schule eröffnet. Die schöne Govend kommt als Lehrerin in das Dorf, auch wenn ihre zwölf Brüder versuchen, das zu verhindern.
