Descripción:	Lorenz hat sich als Schriftsteller in Berlin einen Namen gemacht. Als seine Mutter Rosie nach einem Sturz ins Krankenhaus kommt, fährt er in sein Schweizer Heimatdorf. Zusammen mit seiner ehegestressten Schwester Sophie berät er, wie es mit der Mutter weitergehen soll. Rosie, eine taffe lebenslustige Frau, die kein Blatt vor den Mund nimmt, hat sich wieder aufgerappelt und will partout nicht ins Heim. Mit Verve und Witz kämpft sie um ihre Selbstbestimmung. Dabei lässt sie kein gutes Haar an Sophie und packt zum Staunen ihrer Kinder aus der eigenen Ehe aus. Im Eifer des Gefechts entgeht Lorenz dabei fast, wie Mario in sein Leben tritt: ein junger Mann aus dem Dorf, der für Rosie sorgen soll und sich in ihn verliebt hat ...
