Description:The tracks were chosen from music collected on field-trips, between 1991 and 2010. Most pieces chosen did not result from any systematic collecting. They were gleaned almost by chance, in moments of solitude, at dawn, in the heat of midday or late at night, after recordings of ritual music. Track 1 - extract Languages: Bajau and Selayar. In Bungin, on the island of Sumbawa, September 23rd, 1992. Track 2 Language: Lamaholot in Tanjung Bunga dialect. In the eastern part of the island of Flores, on the peninsula of Tanjung Bunga, in Keka', November 25th, 2006. Track 3 & 20 - lullabies Language: Rongga. In the western part of the island of Flores, on the peninsula of Tanjung Bunga, village of Dere, close to Borong, in the region of East Manggarai, September 9th, 1992. Track 4 & 10 - lullaby Language: Pamona. Island of Sulawesi, near Tentena, in the central province of Central Sulawesi, October 7th, 1991. Track 5 - extract, 13, 14 - lullaby & 19 Language: Kayan. Island of Borneo, village of Rumah Suling, in a Kayan community on the river Mendalam, to the east of Putussibau, in West Kalimantan, August 20th, 1997. Track 6 - song for the sick & 16 - extract Language: Konjo in Kajang dialect. Island of Sulawesi, in the village of Tana Toa, near Bulukumba, South Sulawesi, September 5th, 1991.
