Deutsch Juho Y. - 18/Oct/2015 5 of 5 Stars!
This self-titled debut album is essentially As I Lay Dying without Tim Lambesis (who got arrested, read more from wikipedia). Rather than continuing with old name, the other members formed another band with Shane Blay (from Oh, Sleeper) as new lead singer. Musically album is more modern and melodic with a hint of alternative rock, compared to thrashier and death metal influenced AILD. It really sounds like both guitarists have had a burst of creativity with songwriting, as new amazing riffs and lead melodies that may have not suited well for AILD are now being pumped out at almost exhausting rate. While screamo-vocals aren't featured at all, the roots from previous era can be heard in few songs. I'm definitely excited with their fresh and new approach of melodic metalcore, I just hope they saved some of the A-grade material for future.
