Nina Simone & HER FRIENDS was a compilation LP originally issued by Bethlehem without the singer's consent, using three leftover songs from Nina's first LP, THE ORIGINAL Nina Simone and songs recorded for the label by Carmen McRae and Chris Connor. The Gershwin song, which originally appeared on both albums, has not been repeated here.
