Extra-Infos: .. Blues And Brass/ By Elmer Bernstein
Description:Digitally remastered and expanded. Elmer Bernstein's score of TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, a film which with charm, dignity, and a sense of real values is a landmark in American cinema history. Elmer Bernstein's music is reflective of the qualities of enlightenment and humanity that are personified by Gregory Peck's Atticus. The range of action with which the composer had to work was wide. Bernstein created a score of music that captures the essence of the people and the situations. It is a monument of taste and subtlety. On the bonus BLUES AND BRASS, Bernstein's exquisite arrangements are realized by an all-star assortment of outstanding West Coast musicians of the day, including Andre Previn, Shelley Manne, Bud Shank, Howard Roberts, Dave Pell, Bill Holman, Maynard Ferguson and Jack Marshall and the result is as magical as one might expect. It's really a travesty that this finely crafted mid-century document has been out of print for more than five decades.
