This version of Forgotten Trail comes as a 2xCD. - 1969-1974One of the first and longest lasting country rock groups. Poco had their roots in the dying embers of BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD. This 2 CD collection covers material from 1969 to 1974 recorded for the Epic Label. During this period, four different line ups of the band recorded this material. Founder member RUSTY YOUNG was joined by JIM MESSINA, RICHIE FURAY, RANDY MEISNER, and TIMOTHY SCHMIT, who went on to join THE EAGLES. This release comes with a 36 page booklet, lots of pictures, and detailed notes of the bands history during this period."Forgotten Trail 1969-74" is a comprehensive double CD collection by the legendary country rock band Poco, released by Floating World Records. Poco was formed in 1968 by former Buffalo Springfield members Richie Furay and Jim Messina alongside Rusty Young, George Grantham, and Randy Meisner (later replaced by Timothy B. Schmit). Renowned for their pioneering sound combining elements of rock with traditional country instrumentation, Poco paved the way for bands such as The Eagles. Over their career, they achieved critical acclaim with hits like ?Crazy Love? and have been recognized for influencing generations of musicians within Americana and roots music.
