This version of Anthology Of American Folk Music comes as a 6xCD. - ..FOLK MUSIC, HISTORY OF FOLK, BLUES, CAJUN, GOSPELComes in a 12x12x0.75" box as 3 double CDs, to imitate the original vinyl release of 3 double LPs, with a copy of the original "Handbook" written by Harry Smith and a "Booklet of Essays, Appreciations and Annotations Pertaining to the Anthology Of American Folk Music" which contains information on the artists, the origins of the songs, their discographies and other versions of the songs.
The Enhanced CD (CD 6) includes interviews with some of the artists or their relatives, videos and pictures of Harry Smith's various other collections. It also includes a video of Harry Smith receiving a Grammy award. (Note: The "Enhanced" interactive interfaces were designed for 1997 Windows and Mac "classic" [System 7.1, QT 2.5] operating systems. DXR files also required a Macromedia Director-based app. As of 2023, they will not run with ease on most modern Macs or PCs, though some individual Quicktime files may be readable on some modern Macs, by accessing the folders.)
