Description: | ??Egg? was a British band that was considered part of the Canterbury scene, although they themselves did not come from Canterbury but from London. Their music is a combination of progressive rock with elements of psychedelic rock, avant-garde and classical music. Egg's second album ??The Polite Force? was certainly better based musically, compared to their debut. The mix of classical arrangements together with unusual time signatures, formed the basis for everything within the Canterbury school, one of the bravest bands, that was able to come out of the Canterbury scene. With Clive Brooks on drums, Dave Stewart on keys and Mont Campbell on bass guitar and vocals.
