Double vinyl LP repressing. Reissue of the Alt-Rock pioneers' 1987 album. DAYDREAM was Sonic Youth's sixth full-length, their first double-LP, and their last for an indie label before signing with Geffen. Widely considered to be their watershed moment, the album catapulted them into the mainstream and proved that indie bands could enjoy wide commercial success without compromising their artistic vision. More recently, Daydream Nation has been recognized as a classic of it's time. « Daydream Nation » de Sonic Youth est une ?uvre majeure du rock alternatif sortie en 1988 et aujourd?hui rééditée au format double vinyle par Goofin / Cargo. Cet album culte se distingue par ses paysages sonores de guitares expansifs et expérimentaux ainsi que ses textes poétiques qui incarnent l?esprit rebelle de la scène underground new-yorkaise des années 80. Des titres comme « Teen Age Riot », « Silver Rocket » ou encore « Candle » sont devenus emblématiques pour plusieurs générations d?amateurs d?indie-rock. Formé à New York en 1981 autour de Thurston Moore, Kim Gordon, Lee Ranaldo et Steve Shelley, le groupe s?est imposé comme pionnier grâce à son usage novateur des accordages alternatifs et du bruitisme ; leur discographie comprend aussi les albums acclamés « Goo », « Dirty » ou encore « Sister ».
