This new album, whatever the process, and including several tracks that are clearly working progressions of what become other tracks, is the Yello album I have been waiting for since 1988. While mixed with old and new ideas, with much familiarity and much newness also, it has been modernized and the engineering in the 16 bit CD format is insane (good) from a sound quality standpoint. Boris can put a base mix together like no one in the business and lord knows what he is doing with the compression he is a sound artist like no other. The tunes mostly lack the vocal overlays, but thats okay, it allows the music to pulse and progress in natural and exciting ways without having to be commercial. This is probably the best Yello output ever, and it feels like pure pulsing vibrant audio art in ways past output never has. If you like modern house/trance/techno, you will love this collection and learn a little bit from the arts primary innovation sound pioneer along the way.
