Azmi H. - 18/08/2022 Widely held to be Deep Purple's central, classic album, it's true that Machine Head is a tour de force. Less experimental than In Rock, more focused than Fireball, it was hard rock at its best. It had everything: pounding drums, power chords and piercing guitar solos, organ solos, insistent, intriguing bass, screaming but musical vocals.
