Description:	Der junge Jäger Friedl kehrt nach zwei Jahren Militärdienst in sein oberbayrisches Heimatdorf Fall zurück, um endlich seine junge Braut Modei zu heiraten. Er muss jedoch erfahren, dass Modei inzwischen ein Kind zur Welt gebracht hat. Der Vater ist der berüchtigte Wilderer Huisentoni, der Modei nicht heiraten will, aber dennoch Besitzansprüche anmeldet: Modei und Friedl lieben sich jedoch noch immer. Aus Friedl und Huisentoni werden unversöhnliche Gegner aus Eifersucht und weil Friedl wieder seine alte Stelle als Jäger antritt und damit gewissermaßen von Amts wegen Huisentonis Feind ist. Friedl kann nur mit viel Geschick und ebensoviel Glück den heimtückischen Anschlägen des Wilderers entkommen.
