Wergo's reissues of the legendary Earle Brown Contemporary Sound Series have been a big hit with fans of contemporary music around the world. Each set is a treasure-trove of works by a wide range of composers, performed by some of the finest musicians of the time.

Packaged in a box with three CD's in regular jewel case and four booklets contaning liner notes in English, German and French. This set is volume four in a series of six volumes reproducing 18 LP albums originally released on Time Records and Mainstream Records. These albums were curated and published by Earle Brown between 1960 and 1973. The individual CD's have been reproduced with original artwork and liner notes. The fourth booklet contain further info on the series, not included with the original releases. All three discs contain CD TEXT information. Contained audio was transferred from vinyl LPs by Udo Wüstendörfer. -- Disc 1 originally released in 1972 by Mainstream Records as [r772102]. --- Disc 2 originally released in 1972 by Mainstream Records as [r1125885]. --- Disc 3 originally released in 1962 by Time Records as [r1127145] (mono), [r1127142] (stereo) and in 1970 by Mainstream Records as [r725026]. In the booklet for disc 2 the 1st title is misspelled "Achorripsis".
