Continuing our exploration of New Orleans R&B on the classic Imperial label, we're pleased to announce that we've assembled the complete Imperial recordings of the hugely under-rated Bobby Mitchell. Although he recorded the original versions of I'm Gonna Be A Wheel Someday (later recorded with great success by Fats Domino) and You Always Hurt The One You Love (later recorded with even greater success by Clarence Frogman Henry), Bobby Mitchell has never got his due either as a singer or songwriter. It's no exaggeration to say that he was second only to Fats Domino for his success in showing how New Orleans R&B could adapt to rock 'n' roll. The fabulous '50s New Orleans sound is more popular than ever now, and Bobby Mitchell is one of the great neglected talents. It's time for a little belated recognition., Runningtime: 00:00:00, Labelcode BFY15961.2 (BCD 15961 BI)
