What I Heard is an album by Oliver -Quartet- Lake Organ, released in 2014. The album is a jazz CD. -

What I Heard is the third CD of the Oliver Lake group with hammond organ. The first was a trio CD followed by a quartet and now the second organ quartet cd by Oliver Lake. This cd contains all original compositions by Oliver Lake, originally conceived as a performance with spoken word. Compositions are varied and interesting and there is plenty of room for exciting improvisation. This is a very strong musical statement from Oliver Lake Organ Quartet. Oliver Lake - alto sax & flute, Freddie Hendrix - trumpet, Jared Gold - organ, Chris Beck - drums.
