On their Berlin Classics debut album Wild Territories, the ECHO-winning group Spark pursues the development of it's wholly personal sound in the space between post-classical, minimal and avant-garde music. The album title tells the story. Each of the chosen pieces, from Telemann alla polacca to Beyoncé on recorder, is wild and uninhibited, be it in gesture, in timbre or in it's rhythmic complexity. The five young, virtuosic musicians move between the poles of contrasting musical worlds and eras and forge tradition and innovation into a new sonic experience attuned to the zeitgeist.
