Yuriy P. - 14/Feb/2026  Overall, "Foxtrot" continued and developed the ideas of the previous album, while being more cohesive and cohesive. Despite their varied structure, the songs flow smoothly together and don't clash with one another. There are very few guitar solos on the album, but this is compensated for by the musicians' superb performances. For the first time in Genesis history, an instrumental appears—"Horizons," a composition performed by Hackett on acoustic guitar. Also worth noting is the stunning ballad "Time Table," with its delightful chorus and soothing keyboards. But all the songs on the album, despite their genius, serve as preparation for the main course—the 23-minute composition "Suppers Ready," the longest in the band's repertoire, incorporating all the essential musical traits of Genesis. As for the music on the album, there's no need to say much: beautiful, contemplative songs that remain captivating throughout the album. The band was renowned for this throughout the '70s. A third consecutive masterpiece. This music will make your brain work.
