Description:

EU-only digitally remastered and expanded edition including six bonus tracks. Russian composer, pianist and conductor Sergei Rachmaninoff is widely considered one of the finest pianists of his day and, as a composer, one of the last great representatives of Romanticism in Russian classical music. Presented on this release is the complete original LP with his recording of his own second piano concerto under the direction of Leopold Stokowski. To the legendary performances present on the original album, we have added further recordings of Rachmaninoff playing his own works: A version of his third piano concerto under the direction of Eugene Ormandy, and solo piano performances of four preludes and a serenade.

Tracks 4-11 are bonus track. Not included on the original LP. Concerto No. 2 recorded in 1929 Concerto No. 3 recorded circa 1939-1940 Track 7-11 recorded in 1940.
