Doch es war nur der Endpunkt einer unterdessen 10jährigen Reihe von Schauprozessen gegen Künstler und Dissidenten, mit denen das System Putin jeden demokratischen Wandel verunmöglicht.Für sein Projekt Die Moskauer Prozesse versammelte Milo Rau die Protagonisten der Prozesse um Pussy Riot und die Ausstellungen Achtung! Religion und Verbotene Kunst. Rau lässt sie mit offenem Ausgang neu verhandeln.Auf der Bühne stehen dabei nicht Schauspieler, sondern Akteure aus dem realen, politischen Leben: professionelle Anwälte, Zeugen und Experten aller politischen Couleurs, darunter Katja Samuzewitsch (Pussy Riot), Maxim Schewtschenko (Starmoderator des Staatsfernsehens), Wsewolod Tschaplin (Erzpriester) und der dissidente Philosoph Michail Ryklin.
