"Pierrot's Lunaires" endeavors to seek out and make known a 20th and 21st century repertory that is often unknown to the public. Considered by Romantic composers as too austere to be worthy of attention, the duo of violin and cello became, after WWI, a favorite means of expression for composers seeking new sounds to express a new aesthetic. Violinist Mélanie Clapiès and cellist Yan Levionnois met in 2009 during a series of string ensemble concerts and soon decided to form a violin and cello duo.

Recorded at the Salle Colonne in Paris, on 20-22 November 2103. Booklet 28 pages with liner notes in french and english. Also contains a bonus Mobility CD (adapted for computers, nomad and car sound systems). ? &© 2014 FONDAMENTA
