Let us go back to the end of the 1970s... Adelheid and Andreas Glatt, creators of the legendary Accent label, produced a pair of memorable recordings with Konrad Junghänel (who continues - more than 35 years later - being one of the truly great interpreters of Baroque music): these were the recordings which, without doubt, served to restore the reputation of Silvius Leopold Weiss, an exact contemporary of Johann Sebastian Bach; and from that point on early music lovers were talking about him once again.

Total time 75:53 Recorded in September 1978 & September 1979. Lute: Nico van der Waals (1976). Tracks 1 to 15 taken from [m1258092]; tracks 16 to 22 taken from [m1006215]. In digipack with 10-pp booklet in English, French & German.
