Description:	Lena Ferben ist seit Jahren mit ihrem Mann Tore verheiratet, als sie sich plötzlich verliert. Retrograde Amnesie sagen die Ärzte zu Lenas Zustand; eine nicht diagnostizierte Gehirnentzündung ist der Grund. Die Folge: sie hat keinen Zugriff mehr auf das, was die Medizin als biographisches Gedächtnis bezeichnet. Und wie seltsam das Gehirn doch funktioniert: Die Sprache ist noch vorhanden, doch die Wörter an keine Erfahrung geknüpft. Komik... Treue... Geschlecht... Liebe... Ehemann... Begriffe schwebend im luftleeren Raum, abgeschnitten von der Erdung ihrer Bedeutungen. Tore versucht, Lena den Weg zu ihr zu zeigen, wer er für sie war und wer sie für ihn. Eine Nacherzählung bereits erlebter Realität. Aber während ihre Umwelt nur den Verlust der alten Lena empfindet, bewegt sie sich selber auf eigenen Wegen. Wie ist es wohl, diese Lena Ferben zu sein? Lena probiert es aus, wie ein Schauspieler eine Rolle probiert, während in ihr zur gleichen Zeit etwas Neues entsteht, eine eigene, individuelle Persönlichkeit, die sich dagegen wehrt, das zu tun, wozu Lenas ganze Umwelt sie ermutigt und drängt: Sie selbst zu sein.
