Description:'The Lost Riots' is the debut album from Chichester based outfit Hope of the States. Produced by Ken Thomas (Sigur Ros) and recorded in Russia and Ireland the album is an intense mix of cinematic soundscapes and tender acoustic moments, sounding like a cross between Radiohead, Mogwai, and Godspeed You Black Emperor. The singles 'Black Dollar Bills', 'Enemies/Friends', and 'The Red the White the Black the Blue' are included. This Japanese edition features three bonus tracks, 'Workmiser Harmonies', 'Angels Over Kilburn' and 'Crack Up at the Race Riots'. Sony. 2004.
