Extra-Infos: Sci-fi Darkness Meets Angst Ridden Garage. Sweet!
Description:Season Of Sweets is an album by Modey Lemon, released in 2008. The album is a rock CD. - SCI-FI DARKNESS MEETS ANGST RIDDEN GARAGE. SWEET!
Modey Lemon plays stoner rock with both their heart and head and produce jams that are epic yet tight and riffs that ringing rather than sludgy. Season of Sweets is by far their best releases yet, with all their production methods refined and well-oiled. A perfect release for Spring, just in time for shirts-off and tops down. Blissful yet raw riffs are at work on 'The Peacock's Eye'. Tunes that both smoke and enlighten like 'Become a Monk', 'Sacred Place' and 'Live Like Kids'. This Pittsburgh trio lead by guitarist Phil Boyd shows quite a bit of promise!!

Igor G. - 09/Aug/2017 5 of 5 Stars!
Three years after “The Curious City” found them adding Psychedelic touches to their Garage-Rock overall sound, “Seasons Of Sweets”, the fourth album from Pittsburgh's Modey Lemon is even more ambitious. It presents a fine batch of rough-and-ready rock songs with a solid undertow of experimental Noise Rock, vintage proto-metal riffs, multiple synth gurgles and effect distortions. Phil Boyd's over the top guitar wailing and Paul Quattrone's thunderous drumming remain the heart and soul of the band, with Jason Kirker's bass holding down stiff grooves to give other members more room to getting wild, trippy, and improvised. Boyd's newly understandable vocals make this album sound even more in the vein of vintage Hard Rock, an approach that suits the general concept well. I would say, “Seasons Of Sweets” is the most courageous, hardy, and inventive recording by Modey Lemon… but if you prefer something more focused and natty, you’d better go for “The Curious City”. Anyway, these two recording make a perfect pair for those interested in modern days Psyche-Garage Rock.
