Description:	Vito Cipriani, Vizedirektor eines Mailänder Gefängnisses, ist ein rechtschaffener Mann, bis zu jenem Tag, als seine Frau Anna aus der ehelichen Wohnung entführt wird. Daraufhin wird er von unbekannten Tätern erpresst: Er soll dem Ganoven Milo Ruiz zur Flucht verhelfen. Gesagt, getan! Um sicher zu gehen, dass Anna nichts passiert, behält Cipriani Milo als Geisel zurück, um aus ihm herauszuprügeln, wer hinter seiner indirekten Fluchthilfe steckt. Milo hat keine Ahnung, wer ihn auf freien Fuß sehen will. Gemeinsam machen sich die beiden unterschiedlichen Männer auf die Suche nach Anna, die bis nach Paris führt und zu einem Komplott, in das höchst einflussreiche Männer scheinbar verwickelt sind.
