 | Description: | 1979 was Motorhead's year â?? the year of â??Overkillâ??. Motorhead, the loudest band in the world, with the power and force of a hundred pneumatic drills they destroyed the nation over and again and no-one, repeat no-one, remained unaffected by them â?? everyone was torn limb from limb. The album â??Overkillâ?? and was ten times more powerful than their first album â??Motörheadâ??, which was a killer in itself. The production was in the capable and experienced hands of one Jimmy Miller, whose previous successes had been with the likes of the Rolling Stones. He brought out the very best in the boys and the total effect was lethal. â??Overkillâ?? is full of real skullcrackers, brain damaging to the nth degree and with the hit singles â??Overkillâ?? and â??No Classâ?? you can doubtless guess the destroying effect of the whole affair. Thatâ??s Motörhead; straight, basic, down to earth rock and roll, with absolutely no holds barred. - Limited vinyl LP pressing of the UK hard rockers' classic 1979 album. Overkill is the album that focused all the Motorhead components together for the first time. One part Punk, two parts Metal and all parts Rock 'N' Roll, the Jimmy Miller produced three man vinyl assault succeeded in reaching #24 in the UK album chart and brought the band to the Metal masses in no uncertain terms. Testament to the albums influence and endurance is the amount of tracks that Motorhead still play live to this day 'Stay Clean', 'Capricorn', 'No Class', 'Metropolis'... a Motor bangers ball wouldn't be complete without these iron staples lodged firmly between the senses!Versions with download code or without exists.
