Extra-Infos: .. Can You Handle The Load
Description:Two accomplished and bored bass players with nowhere else to go start a band. Tom Jorgensen (Yours Truly) was playing bass and singing on a gig with his band (the Swinging Neckbreakers). On the same bill was a pickup cover band featuring Keith Hartel (aka: Luscious Load, ex bass player for Richard Lloyd and True Love) on guitar and the Hyland brothers, Kevin and Dan (aka: The Irish Express, Larry Load and McLoadin') on drums and bass. Tom offered his vocals and 6' 3' of physical intimidation to this unit, coming together as 'The Deaf, Dumb and Blind Boys', performing 60's era Who covers with brutal accuracy. After several triumphantly powerful gigs in this incarnation, Tom began bringing original songs that lent themselves to a two guitar format. The songs call to mind a wide array of influences from earliest Stones and Chuck Berry to the Stooges, Sex Pistols and countless others. A perfect blend of rock and roll, punk rock and just plain rock. Some say this may be the last rock and roll band. This band is called Platinum Load, because they are as heavy as can be and offer a product of the highest quality. They dress in professional wrestling garb so the spectators will know: this band will kick your ass (with their music) in no-holds-barred fashion.
