I really wanted to walk along the pluses of the album, even though the cons are quite obvious. And particulars (like the self-plagiarism "Power" / "My God-Given Right") are not even important here - the more significant is that the current Helloween, alas, does not create the feeling that the first four discs with Deris created. The situation is twofold - the group is moving confidently on its course, not smelling of mothballs, not leaving behind a track of sand that has poured out on the move, but it’s worth putting something with “My God-Given Right” in the playlist, and then with “Master” or even "Better than Raw", as you hear a tangible contrast. Where is it, the combination of swearing, drive, gloomy tones, unobtrusive humor, overshadowed by the presence of a diverse talent of composing talent? Helloween turned onto another track, and it must have been so necessary - to give out the same thing that was under Grapov and Kush anyway, probably would not have come out with all his will. A new musical reality has come for the group, and we, the listeners, have no choice but to form our own attitude to what is, if, of course, the group is still interesting. After all, there were also those who, disappointed with the transition of Pumpkins to the bright side, scored on Helloween even after “Rabbit”, while ignoring the merits of this album. "My God-Given Right" is also not without its merits, but the noted evenness of the record is indicative in many respects - it exposes things in no way clouded, and eliminates the situation when one or another unexpected find is able to correct the situation, and the effect of unexpectedness is more listeners will receive and check out the record. There are no such tricks here - the group has not dropped itself, but the material presented still satisfies primarily if we take into account the immediate context - the context of previous albums, the context of the venerable age of the group, the context of possible dangers - that the album could turn out unpleasantly sugar (see "Rabbit. .. "), drawn out and overloaded (see" Legacy "), that, finally, the group will run out and will not write anything hit at all, because, as you know, nothing lasts forever. It is valuable in itself that we hear the familiar notes of Helloween, and when we hear, we breathe out in relief - a whiff, everything is in place. But remember the same drives from the nineties - and there is a slight sadness. After all, what remains is okay and quality factor. Experience and skill that you won’t drink. A couple of bright new numbers that will settle in live sets. A good enough album, finally, the attractiveness of which is largely relative. Is this enough for Helloween? Everyone decides for himself.

Gutklassiges Helloween Album der Neuzeit, punktet wie gewohnt mit starken Melodien im typischen Helloween Stil

Definitely not their best work, but each song grows on you after every listen. Many of these songs have familiar tunes and beats, and sound like other past Helloween songs.
Packaging, although "cool" is a little immature for this old Kid.
Helloween still kicking it and making me proud!
