Music From Ben-Hur includes a.o. the following tracks: â??The Overtureâ?, â??Star Of Bethlehemâ?, â??Gratus' Entry Into Jerusalemâ?, â??Messala's Revengeâ? and more. The album is a original soundtrack CD. - EU-only release, a unique collection of music from the movie Ben-Hur as it features, for the first time, the music in the order that it appears in the film. Unlike the original LP, entitled Musical Highlights from Ben-Hur which only featured approximately 40 minutes of music from the original two and a half hour score. Some 56 years after it's release and 11 Oscars later, Jasmine are proud to issue this superbly epic and grandiose collection composed by the inimitable Miklós Rózsa. A veteran of the epic film score. Miklos led as he described a "double life" between his film work and absolute concert music. His concert work was championed by the likes of Jascha Heifetz; Gregor Piatigorsky, and János Starker and his score for Ben-Hur secured him a much deserved Oscar. |
