- =2015 FOR LP 'CLUSTER' & 'GOTAN PROJECT' MEN FEAT. ENO=Imagori is the first collaborative recording from musical trailblazers Hans-Joachim Roedelius (of Cluster, Harmonia et al.) and Christoph H. Müller (Gotan Project et al.). Electronic beats, buoyant piano melo dies, percussive elements: an album with atmospheric density that is warm and harmonious throughout - although it thrives on clear contrasts. Beat-oriented compositions meet melodic improvisations. The articulation often revels in simultaneous legato and staccato elements; Müller's beats create a framework with a straight-out pumping downbeat groove, while Roedelius's piano somnambulistically moves through the tracks. The upshot is an album that comes across as self-contained and pleasantly cohesive - each and every second is enthralling!"Imagori" is a collaborative album by the renowned artists MUELLER & ROEDELIUS, released in CD format by the respected label GRÖNLAND. This project brings together Hans-Joachim Roedelius, a pioneer of electronic and ambient music known for his work with Cluster and Harmonia, and Christoph H. Müller, celebrated for his innovative contributions to Gotan Project. "Imagori" fuses elements of electronica, ambient soundscapes, and experimental textures into an evocative listening experience that bridges generations of musical exploration. The album showcases both artists' mastery in blending organic instrumentation with electronic production techniques.
MUELLER & ROEDELIUS have each achieved significant acclaim: Roedelius as a foundational figure in krautrock and ambient genres since the 1970s; Müller through international success with Gotan Project?s tango-electronica fusion. Their collaboration on "Imagori" has been praised for its inventive spirit and seamless integration of their distinct musical voices.
