Description: | This album took fuckinâ?? forever, even longer
than Decline. we started in December of â??99
and finished in February â??00. Of course we
took the holidays off and we went on a three
week tour in Jan. We recorded like 22 songs,
but we scrapped 8 of them. Weâ??ll finish them
some other time. The title track â??Pump Up
The Valuumâ? got cut from the album. Thatâ??s
wierd. we gave it to Epitaph for Punk O Rama
5. Thereâ??s another song called â??San Francis-
co Fatâ? that is gonna go on the next fat comp.
I guess a lot of the songs on this record are
about drugs. I guess thatâ??s because we like
drugs and like singinâ?? about them even more.
well our drummer doesnâ??t like them so much.
He did so much of em he had to quit seven
years ago. But heâ??s not writing the lyrics.
Am I rambling, I feel like Iâ??m rambling, any
way, I like this album. thereâ??s no ska, no reg-
gae, no jazz, just punk and punk and a little
polka. I donâ??t feel the need to ever play a ska
song again, but ya never know. Yes, I definitely
think I am rambling.

For the Sony DADC pressing, see [r=8031331]"PUMP UP THE VALUUM" is a high-energy punk rock album by the legendary band NOFX, released in 2000 on CD format. Known for their witty lyrics and fast-paced melodies, this record showcases NOFX's signature blend of humor and social commentary across tracks like "Bottles to the Ground" and "Dinosaurs Will Die." The album captures the raw spirit of punk while delivering sharp observations about society. Epitaph Records, founded by Brett Gurewitz of Bad Religion, has been a driving force in independent music since 1980, supporting influential acts like Rancid, The Offspring, and Pennywise. NOFX themselves are icons within the punk scene; formed in Los Angeles in 1983, they've achieved worldwide acclaim with albums such as "Punk in Drublic" and have remained fiercely independent throughout their career. |
