Gene emerged from London?s vibrant music scene in the early 1990s, quickly earning acclaim for their introspective lyrics and soaring melodies. Often compared to bands like The Smiths due to Martin Rossiter?s emotive vocals, Gene achieved chart success with albums like "Olympian" (1995) and singles including "For The Dead." Their influence on British indie rock remains significant.
Snapper Mu has built a reputation as a respected independent label specializing in reissues, live recordings, and special editions from renowned artists across rock, blues, jazz, and more. With attention to detail in every release they handle?including remastering audio where possible?Snapper Mu continues to serve collectors and audiophiles worldwide. |
