Tabu has always been in demand for fantasy, wit and astute descriptions. It is important to describe a term to your own rate team. In Tabu XXL, however, it is not only the obvious words that come to mind first that are taboo. In some cases, the player may only use 15 words to explain as many taboo terms as possible. Or the clever rate foxes even have to prove their artistic talent and draw the term they are looking for. When knot-knut comes into play, it's over even with hard-boiled professionals with the mastery: You can laugh to your heart's content!
First, the players are divided into two teams. The cards are placed on the fields of the completely redesigned game plan according to their suit. The teams are always in turn and play one round at a time before the other team comes to the turn. The red fields correspond to the classic taboo. However, if the player lands with his figure on a green 15-word field, it is even more tempo, tempo, because the hourglass is running and the opposing team does not sleep. The respective taboo candidate has only two minutes and no more than 15 words available for all terms. It's hard enough to rewrite terms like landlines when you're not allowed to use words like a phone, a mobile phone or your home. If you then have to limit yourself to 15 words to explain as many terms as possible, it becomes turbulent. Especially since every word counts! Whether the player has a comment like Man, it's hard to slip out or even resort to drastic insults - the penalty follows on the foot. The well-known taboo rules of course still apply: gestures, foreign languages, sounds or other aids are not allowed. For each guessed term, the character moves forward around a field. The opposing team is allowed to pull its character forward as many fields as taboo words have fallen.
If a player lands on a yellow drawing field, the budding young talent must put terms such as friend, car, jackpot or Scotland on paper within two minutes. But how on earth do you draw this so that your own team guesses the word you are looking for as quickly as possible? Creative talent and imagination are equally in demand in this tricky task. The absolute highlight of Tabu XXL, however, is the use of knot-knut. The movable, purple plush figure with long arms and legs comes into play when the character stands on a blue field. Now the player has to mutate from a word acrobat to a phantom impute: within a minute, he has to explain as many terms as possible to his team by phantomically playing them to the other with Knuten-Knot. To this end, the figure may be deformed and bent at will to the great joy of all involved. So Knut harps foliage, turns off the alarm clock or daringly plunges into the depths as a bungee jumper. In addition, Knot-Knut replaces the dreaded colorful squeak in the Taboo XXL edition: the opposing team mercilessly presses around on Knot-Knut's plush belly when a player breaks the rules and one of the taboo words falls.
The fourth innovation in Tabu XXL is the memory fields. Now the memory of all players is in demand: If a player comes to one of these fields, he takes all previously guessed term cards. He has one minute to explain all these terms again with a maximum of two hints. Exceptionally, the taboo words do not play a role
