Description:Deluxe two disc (CD + NTSC/Region 0 DVD) edition of the 2007 live album by John Lees' Barclay James Harvest. On Sunday November 5th 2006 John Lees' Barclay James Harvest's British tour reached London. Just one concert of thirteen shows (the biggest UK tour by any incarnation of BJH for fourteen years), founder members John Lees (guitar vocals), Woolly Wolstenholme (keyboards, mellotron, guitar, vocals), together with Craig Fletcher (bass), Kevin Whitehead (drums, percussion) and guest musicians had already performed six successful concerts, and were to play a further eight British concerts, many of which had sold out in advance. Those who attended these concerts cited the performances as some of the most impassioned by any of the founder members of Barclay James Harvest for many years. By the time the tour reached London, the musicians in the band were functioning as a tight musical unit and the show that night would rank as one of the best concerts of the tour: The audience, many of whom had travelled from Europe, Japan and the USA, witnessed a set that was inspiring. Of the songs performed that night, some, such as 'The Great 1974 Mining Disaster', 'The Poet' and 'After the Day' had not been played on a concert stage for over 30 years, whilst 'Poor Wages' had never previously been performed live. A magical evening of some of the finest music of the BJH canon ensued, all captured by a mobile recording unit.
