Mahler: Symphony No. 4 by Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, released 8 October 2014.
This version of Mahler: Symphony No. 4 comes as a 1xSuper Audio. - GELDERS ORKEST/MANACORDA/LARSSON
A new account of one of Mahler's most beloved symphonies, on SACD! There is a long connection between Mahler's music and Dutch orchestras; equally, Antonello Manacorda's name is tightly related to Mahler as he was a founding member of Mahler Chamber Orchestra. By contract, this disc differs from soprano Lisa Larsson's usual repertoire, after discs focused on Haydn and Berlioz. As a precious bonus, the program includes three Lieder from Des Knaben Wunderhorn.
