Innerhalb eines Jahres nach ihrem bahnbrechenden Doppel-Album "Bad Girls" verlieÃ? Donna Summer Casablanca Records und wurde die erste KÃ¼nstlerin, die bei dem neuen Label Geffen Records unter Vertrag genommen wurde. Das vierte Album, das fÃ¼r das Label verÃ¶ffentlicht wurde, war 1987 "ALL SYSTEMS GO". Es wurde sowohl in Los Angeles als auch in MÃ¼nchen aufgenommen und hauptsÃ¤chlich von Harold Faltermeyer, einem langjÃ¤hrigen Mitarbeiter von Giorgio Moroder und Komponist von Filmsoundtracks, produziert, was dem Album einen etwas hÃ¤rteren, FM-Radio-freundlichen Sound mit einem stÃ¤rkeren R&B-Einfluss verlieh. Von den zwei weiteren Tracks, die fÃ¼r das Album aufgenommen wurden, verlieh 'Dinner With Gershwin', das von Richard Perry produziert und von Brenda Russell geschrieben wurde, dem Album den gewÃ¼nschten FM-Radio-Sound, wobei die Single ein weltweiter Hit wurde und Platz 13 in den UK-Singles-Charts erreichte. Weitere Singles sind "Only The Fool Survives", ein Duett mit Starships LeadsÃ¤nger Mickey Thomas und der Titelsong des Albums "All Systems Go". Diese Sonderedition bringt das Originalalbum auf 180g Orange Colour Vinyl wieder auf den Markt. -

Donna Summer gained prominence during the 1970s Disco era, propelled by her incessant and creative driving force behind the genre's global popularity, rightly earning the title Queen of Disco and becoming one of the most successful recording artists of the entire decade. The fourth album released for the Geffen label was 1987's ALL SYSTEMS GO, which was produced by long-term Giorgio Moroder collaborator and movie soundtrack composer, Harold Faltermeyer, gave the album a slightly harder-edged, FM-radio friendly sound with a heavier R&B influence.
