"Rust In Peace (Remastered)" is a landmark album by the legendary American thrash metal band Megadeth, released in its remastered form on CD by Capitol Records. This iconic record, originally launched in 1990, features some of the band's most celebrated tracks such as "Holy Wars... The Punishment Due," "Hangar 18," and "Tornado of Souls." The remaster enhances the original's powerful sound with improved clarity and depth, making it essential for both longtime fans and new listeners. Megadeth, formed in 1983 by Dave Mustaine after his departure from Metallica, has become one of the "Big Four" bands of thrash metal alongside Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax. With multiple platinum albums and Grammy Awards to their name, Megadeth?s technical prowess and socially conscious lyrics have left an indelible mark on heavy music. Capitol Records is renowned for its rich history in promoting groundbreaking artists across genres since its founding in 1942; their commitment to quality ensures that this remastered edition meets the highest standards.
The fourth studio album by American thrash metal band Megadeth, released on September 24, 1990. The album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance at the 33rd Grammy Awards. I recommend.

This is the fourth studio album by the thrash metal band. It was released way back in 1990. It is considered one of the best albums, with which I agree. This album features the "classic" line-up of the band. Listen with pleasure!

A great thrash album worthy of being on a par with monsters like "Master Of Puppets" and "Reign In Blood"! Yes, in "Rust In Peace" there is no such complexity and sophistication as in Broom's masterpiece, there is no such speed and aggression that are present in the imperishable work of Slayre, but there is a solo part performed by the guitar genius Marty Friedman.
Of course, I will not discover America and will only repeat what has already been said here before me, but nevertheless, these solos are real works of musical art, showing the perfect balance between speed, technique and melody. Bravo Marty Friedman!
However, solos, no matter how good they are, cannot pull out the album alone. But this is not required here. All the best that was on the first three albums of the group was continued on "Rust In Peace", Mustaine's composer's gift worked in full force. The music is very fast, technical, but at the same time, it is not devoid of a share of melody (and not only due to the solo parts), there is a fairly frequent and competent change of rhythm, the bass and drums make up a very clear rhythm section ... powerful and hardcore albums in thrash history. All the songs are not just good, they deserve the highest marks (my favorites are "Lucretia" and "Tornado Of Souls"), all but the eighth. The bass track called "Dawn Patrol" does not spoil the overall picture, but it also does not make the weather, we could have done without it. The quality of the recording is very high, especially for that time, and on the remastered edition from 2004 it is even better.
One thing can be said about vocals - it is (just kidding). Of course Dave has never been distinguished by special vocal abilities, but he sings as best he can, and he is not so bad at it.
Yes, it makes no sense to rate such albums, since they are higher than any ratings. You have to listen to them, listen - and enjoy.

On a personal rating scale, Megadeth's top work of all time. The best combination of instrumental parts and lyrics. Integral work without weak tracks.

This album is a thrash metal masterpiece! This album is the first album with genius guitarist Marty Friedman. His exotical solos changed sound of Megadeth.

Great album! It can rightfully be put on the second place in the list of platinum works in the style of thrash metal, of course, after the 1986 album of Metallica. ("Master of Puppets", after all, is deeper and unpredictable in its musical content). The main noteworthy feature of "Rust in Peace" is super melodic complex improvisation solos. These are the solos, believe me, you will hear very rarely - the absolute balance between harmonious sound, skillful technique and the continuity of the musical theme, because music flows like a fast water flow. One involuntarily asks the question: why are there so few bands that devote so close attention to performing beautiful solo parts - not enough skill or some special feeling, thanks to which the musicians put a real high into their game? No, after all, it is very unfortunate that few of these are musically difficult on the one hand, and fantastically positive albums on the other. The drummer makes his considerable contribution as well, conveying not only the rhythm, but also the musical atmosphere. Dave Mustaine's vocal, screaming in places, also just wonderfully becomes an integral part of this colorful musical creation. And yet I repeat - the main highlight of the album, making it a kind of unique - thoughtful and sophisticated solos. Bravo!
I recommend listening to all lovers of heavy music - you just have to understand what makes music not only beautiful, but also driving! Classic...

Classic thrash metal album from Megadeth and one of the best thrash metal albums of all time. These remastered series are good but I would say first editions are better.

Master of Puppet, Reign in Blood, and Rust in Peace, all of which are considered to be three masterpieces of thrash metal, are a completely different kind of food. I like each distinct personality. I think that the hardship (dismissal from Metallica) for one human being is the best example of the music industry that made the most fruitful result.
