Hier sind sie, die Jungs, nach denen damals so lauthals die Chemical Beats, denen die Big Beats folgten, ausgerufen wurden, mit ganz neuen chemischen Ergebnissen. Schnell zur Sache, in diesem Fall die Tanzfläche, ruft es heute, lediglich der Opener erinnert an alte Big Beat Tage. Nach wie vor kombinieren die Chemical Brothers illustre Gäste (Bobby Gillespie von Primal Scream, Noel Gallagher, Bernard Summer von New Order etc.) mit ihrem Sound, der teilweise technoider geworden ist, um jetzt und hier zur Party zu bitten. Gerade ‚Out Of Control‘ versinnbildlicht den Soundtrack zu einer britischen Fallstudie a la Irvin Welsh (Trainspotting) und treibt damit das dortige Raveverständnis auf die Spitze. Hey ho let’s go mit live Instrumentierung, Elektronik, Indiegesang und Ausflügen in ruhige Wohngegenden. Der Sound der Chemical Brothers hat sich geändert, ist aber nicht wirklich neu, und gefällt somit dem alten Fan, dem neuen aber nur, wenn er auch ein alter sein könnte.
