The album is a rock CD. - Iconic British rock band The Who gracing us with their collection of rarities which put many a regular studio album to shame. Fans of the band's classic 1974 hard rock period who only own the proper albums really need to get 'Odds & Sods' to complete their collection. It's considered by many, the lost scrolls wrapped around the Golden Chalice. It is a fascinating mix of lost treasures, exciting misfires, and just plain weird Who artifacts. The original Odds & Sods album was compiled by John Entwistle and released on September 28, 1974 as Track Records 2406 116 in the UK, and on October 12, 1974 as MCA 2126 in the US. In the UK it reached #10 on the LP charts, and in the US it reached #15.
In the view of the large number of additional tracks on this re-issue of Odds & Sods, the sequencing has been changed from the original in order to present the songs in chronological order.
1, 8 to 10, 15 to 18, 20, 21, 23: Previously released on the original Odds & Sods album in October 1974.
5, 22: Originally released as single B-sides.
2 to 4, 6, 7, 12 to 14, 19: Previously unreleased.
