This is the way the compilers from the eponymous collective describe this project: since 2005, Sulle Rive del Tango has researched, selected and also produced music from the most remote places, always focusing on the secret and mysterious sound of Tango. They tell a continuously evolving story through four highly successful compilations. The series started in 2008 (Aniversario is a 2 CD "Best of"of the first three volumes now out of stock) and has been chronicling the origins of the genre as well as the it's most contemporary variations.
