Description:
This release features the most famous orchestral works by Berlioz in electrifying performances by Roger Norrington and Sylvain Cambreling. Hector Berlioz remains to this day the arch Romantic composer - his imagination knew no bounds and through his often-extreme visions, he revolutionized the way composers would approach the orchestra in the future., Runningtime: 00:00:00, Labelcode HAC94614.2

the sound is really exquisite and detailed; one has the impression that sir Roger Norrington has rehearsed the orchestra in a note by note basis, explaining to the musicians exactly how one should play each note. However, I think this approach just doesn't work with a work like this.
