The second solo studio album by American musician Rob Zombie. The album is the follow-up to his highly successful debut album Hellbilly Deluxe, released in 1998. To date, The Sinister Urge has sold nearly two million copies worldwide, and was his second RIAA-certified album.

Heavy-Groove-Metal mit Horrorelementen,... Wer Rob Zombie nur als Produzenten von Filmen wie "Das Haus der 1000 Leichen" oder "The Devils Reject" und anderen kennt, der sollte sich auch unbedingt mal seine Musik anhören,..denn wenn man diese nicht kennt, dann verpasst man eine ganze Menge! Lieder wie "Bring her down (to Crippletown)" oder "Dead Girl Superstar" machen ebenso viel Laune wie sein Filme. Außerdem findet man auf diesem Album ebenfalls das Lied "House of 1000 Corpses" zu seinem gleichnamigen Film.
