The Pretty Things, iconic 1st wave R&B cult heroes, created some of the most exciting and innovative records of the sixties and early seventies. Winners of the Hero award at the 2009 Mojo Honours, the band have been a massive success and a huge influence on artists as diverse as David Bowie, Aerosmith, The Ramones, Bob Dylan, The Sex Pistols, The White Stripes, Kasabian and many, many more. 2018 saw the release of a 50th-anniversary â??S.F. Sorrowâ?? box set and the band's final and extensive UK & European tour, which included a performance of â??S.F. Sorrowâ?? in full at the Isle of Wight Festival and ends at a farewell show in London at Indigo at the O2 with an impressive supporting line-up of David Gilmour and Van Morrison. The 1967 release â??Emotionsâ?? bridged the gap between the Râ??nâ??B era of The Pretty Things and the psychedelic â??Sgt. Pepperâ?? and Pink Floyd era of their â??68 release â??S.F. Sorrowâ??. This album is almost an exact snapshot of swinging London at its purest. This mid-price CD edition of â??Emotionsâ?? is presented in digipack packaging and complete with an 8-page booklet featuring sleeve notes from renowned journalist and editor Paul Du Noyer (NME, Q, MOJO). -

December 1965 'Get the Picture' - The Pretty Things certainly did with this follow up to their debut album of the same year. The band were getting wilder and the music getting better, with two remarkable singles 'Midnight to Six Man' and 'Come See Me'.
