"Louder Than Hell" is a powerful heavy metal album by the legendary American band Manowar, released in 1996 on CD format. Known for their epic sound and thunderous anthems, Manowar has been a defining force in the genre since their formation in 1980. With "Louder Than Hell," fans are treated to classic tracks like "Return of the Warlord" and "Courage," showcasing Joey DeMaio's commanding bass lines and Eric Adams' soaring vocals. The album marks a return to the band's roots with raw energy and heroic themes that have earned them a loyal global following. Over their career, Manowar has sold millions of albums worldwide and set records for some of the loudest concerts ever performed. This release comes from Geffen Records, one of the most influential labels in rock history, known for supporting iconic artists across genres.
The eighth album by heavy metal band Manowar, released on October 1, 1996. The music on "Louder than Hell" is pleasing to the ear of a metalhead: the clanking guitar sound is even dry and very dense, one might even say. I recommend.

The album includes a couple of good tracks, otherwise it is a high-flown triatral hymns, which over the years are perceived more and more ironically ...

After a four-year hiatus and a previous attempt (the album of 1992) to create a conceptual / progressive album, the band returned to their usual, characteristic direction. The return to the band of the original drummer Scott Columbus and the hiring of a new guitarist Carl Logan was reflected well both, on the material and the sound. After not very good, experimental ond often boring to me, album "The Triumph Of Steel", this album seemed to me quite strong and pleasant for my ear.

It's hard to write an objective review of your favorite album. But I still try. So, Manowar got even harder here, the hardness of the music borders on thrash metal, Eric Adams' vocals are stronger than ever, and the way he screams words in action films deserves the greatest respect (after all, this is the right example of singing in heavy metal), but also his voice open perfectly in the plague ballad “Courage”. The album is interestingly made in its design: the first half is the super song “Rutern Of The Warlord”, “Brothers Of Metal”, “The Gods Made Heavy Metal” and “Courage”, and the second half is less successful, but also quite original themes. The texts, as always, are pompous and heroic, but nothing else is needed here. Of course, I would have thrown out two not very pleasant instrumental tracks “Today Is A Good Day To Die” and “My Spirit Lives On” from the disc - they came out too heavy, but even they create a specific atmosphere of the disc. I believe that at the Louder Than Hell, the Manovarovites have achieved what they have been striving for all their lives - real and true metal. Masthev, for it is a masterpiece of all time.
