This is an album that has been undeservedly accused of all mortal sins by most listeners. Everyone was accustomed to a simple standard heavy, and maiden decided to develop concepts about music and released a deeper and more difficult to understand creation, for which all and sundry went. The new vocalist also received accusations that he is not Bruce. Others went even further: one respected reviewer called the Aryan "Night is Shorter than Day" superior to this work. Sorry, but I don’t understand how to say this. As for music, "The X Factor" is much more melodic, more complicated and darker than the previous albums of the group. Real serious metal for thinking people. Judging by the progressiveness, this album far surpasses Dream Theater in this indicator. Blaze sings very well and, unlike Bruce, never messes up. So if you only like songs like "The Trooper", then I would not recommend this album, but everyone who appreciates soulful and beautiful music should definitely listen to it at least once.
