Description:
Ägypten etwa 50 v. Chr.: Cleopatra, die blutjunge letzte Königin des einst mächtigen Reiches der Ptolemäer, verbringt ihre Tage hauptsächlich damit, die machtgierigen Römer bei der Stange zu halten. Sobald die Sonne über dem Horizont versinkt, hat sie jedoch nur eines im Sinn - eine heiße Nacht mit den bestgebauten Soldaten ihrer persönlichen Leibgarde zu verbringen. Doch die wilde Liebesnacht endet für die Männer weniger sinnlich als tödlich, denn um ihre geheime Leidenschaft zu vertuschen, vergiftet sie ihre unstandesgemäßen Liebhaber noch vor Sonnenaufgang. Eines Nachts trifft sie sich mit dem attraktiven Römer Marcus Antonius, mit dem sie eine politische Allianz zu flechten versucht, und lässt ihre Haussklavin Nisca zurück, die ihr zum Verwechseln ähnlich sieht und die für eine Nacht lang die Königin vom Nil mimen darf.
Cleopatras neuer Leibwächter Cesarino verliebt sich auch sofort Hals über Kopf in seine bildschöne Chefin und ist ziemlich verwirrt, als sie ihm am nächsten Tag nicht einmal die kalte Schulter anbietet. Doch bald hat er das Geheimnis der Pharaonin gelüftet und so beginnt ein turbulentes Wechselspiel, bei dem Cleopata nur mit Mühe mithalten kann.
